EHCP Pathway - c

My Story

If you would like to follow a signed version of this page, please click on the BSL logo and scroll down to find the title of this page.

This stage of the pathway involves collecting views, information and advice which will help identify what planning and support is needed for the child/young person.

A crucial part of this process involves enabling the child/young person and their family to tell their story. You can ask anyone to support you with this, if you wish. This information will form an All About Me – One Page Profile. This sets out the child/young person’s strengths and needs; ways to best support them; what is working well and not working so well; what is important to them; as well as their hopes and aspirations for the future.

This information is gathered at the multi-agency SEND Support meeting prior to a request being made to the EHC Panel.

At the meeting you will have the opportunity to say what you want for your child and what you would like your child to be able to do and achieve in the future. You will also be able to say what your child does well, the areas you are concerned about and the outcomes you want for your child. You can ask for support in completing the Parents' views form from your child's school/setting or SENDIASS can also provide support.
