Public SEND meeting – Saturday 7th July, Blackburn Central Library
A passionate group of parents, carers and professionals invovled with children and young people with a Special Education Need or Disability met together on Saturday 7th July at Blackburn Central Library.
They listened to a presentation from NDITi Associates Ellen Atkinson and Jon Ralphs who explained what they have been told about the current SEND provision within BwD by young people, their families and supporting professionals .
After a well-earned break, they joined in lively discussions around the Review's recommendations and had an opportunity to indicate what they felt the priorities should be for future developments.
It was an incredibly hot day but it was generally agreed that the session had been very interesting and enjoyable:
" ... also, we had a lovely lunch and finished in time to get home for the football!"
Jon Ralphs, a graphic facilitator, captured the main themes of the meeting in images. Click on the YouTube link to see what he produced.
