Children's Disability Service Youth Club
The Children's Disability Service Youth Club is for children and young people with low to moderate disabilities. This means that children who are already receiving their own dedicated package of support following an individual needs based assessment will not be eligible to access this club.
Experienced staff provide support to enable social independence and participation in a range of activities.
The Youth Club is held at Kaleidoscope Youth Centre, Lindisfarne Avenue, Blackburn, BB2 3EH.
Children and young people who attend have the opportunity to form friendships with other young people with similar needs and abilities, and develop skills of independence and socialising without their parents or carers.
The Club offers activities such as arts, crafts, baking, computer games, drama, sports and activities of the young people's own choice and interest.
The club is accessible to children from 8 years old to 18 years old and runs in term time only from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Wednesdays.
There is no charge to access this service and referral is via telephone with no assessment required to the Children's Disability Service Duty Number; 01254 503 773.
