Young person's Advocacy service

Barnardo's is commissioned to provide the statutory advocacy for children and young people in Blackburn and Darwen on behalf of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, we cover a 30 mile radius around the Blackburn area. If a young person lives outside of this area we can arrange for a local service to provide advocacy support.

Upon receipt of a new advocacy referral a trained advocate will arrange to visit the child or young person within 7 days to discuss their worries and concerns and will work with the young person to formulate an action plan and work to achieve positive outcomes.
