Listening Books - the UK charity providing an audiobook lending service
Listening Books is a national UK charity, providing an audiobook lending service for those that find reading difficult due to an illness, disability, learning or mental health condition.
Members are able to borrow titles to stream them from our website, or download them to a portable device such as an Android device or iPhone.
We have over 10,000 titles available for members to borrow, over 4500 of which are suitable for children and young adults.
We add to the catalogue throughout the year and also record educational titles that support the National Curriculum and learning and which are unavailable elsewhere in the audio format. Members can also access thousands of magazines and newspapers through PressReader, at no additional cost.
Membership costs between £20 and £45 per year. We also have some free memberships available for those that might find this fee a barrier to membership.
