Supported Work Experience programmes

For students in Year 10  - 13 we provide a wide range of work experience programmes for young people with SEND, those on alternative provision and needing more support in preparing them for transition to the world of work and apprenticeships. Typically this involves us sourcing the right employer for the student in a suitable career area they are interested in, we would assess the student in order to establish this and to make sure the placement is a strong fit. The placement would run one, two or three days per week for an extended period of at least ten weeks up to a year. We support both employer and young person throughout with regular visits, support and monitoring. Currently we deliver these across the north west with an increasing number in Blackburn with Darwen.
