Local Offer

Long term personal and social skills development programme for young people aged 13 - 25 that are NEET or at risk of disengaging from education.

Young people take part in a vairty of positive diversionary activities (outdoor adventurous, sporting, creative and STEM) to build personal and social skills such as confidence, self esteem, motivation, team building, emotional resiliance and communication skills.

We also provide support for young people in education from 11-16 (dependant on programmes) and support for adults up to 30, again dependant on programmes that run.

We have a variety of support and programmes available to support young people to gain confidence and to help find themselves in a positive outcome. we can also be bespoke to offer support in numerous ways to fit the needs of young people.

We need to meet any young person for a 1-1 before they can start so we can make sure all the right support is in place prior to starting.

Young people from across Lancashire can access the courses.  There is limited written work required, and the physical aspect of courses vary dependant on themes.

Young People must be aged 16 - 25 and be NEET:

Not in education, employment or training or doing less than 16 hours paid work or less than 12 hours education.

Group sizes are small (max 13) so additional support can be offered if needed.

Other notes

The programme is open to young people from accross East Lancashire.

The 13 - 16 Fairbridge course is aimed at young people at risk of exclusion or disengagment from education.

They can be:

At risk of not achieveing 5 A* - C GCSE's, in mainstream education but having difficulties in school, provided with alternate learning or additonal support, truanting, at risk of exclusion.

The 16 - 25 programme is aimed at young people not in education, employment or training or doing less than 16 hours paid work or less than 12 hour education.

Our target groups are:

Young people that are: Looked after, Care leavers, offenders and ex-offenders, single parents, refugee/ asylum seekers, people with disabilities, mental health needs, homeless and drug/ alcohol issues.
