(BwD Parents in Partnership- BwD PIP) Parent/Carer Forum
We are the parent carer forum within Blackburn with Darwen,for parents/carers of children/young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities from 0-25 years. We work in co-production with Children and Young Peoples' Services, Health, the Local Authority and voluntary groups to and represent parents in these meetings, to influence and shape services for parents, carers and children/young people in the borough.
We organise regular coffee mornings, workshops, forums, parents sessions and the annual Disability Information Day in conjunction with the local authority.

BwD PIP is run by volunteers, we are all parents/carers of children with additional needs ourselves, so we have personal experience. If you have time to spare you could also become a member of the steering group every little helps don't be shy come and give us a try!

We run regular events for parents, if you become a member we can contact you and give you the opportunity to attend. Come to one of our coffee mornings for a chat, some cake, meet other parents in a similar situation to yourself.
We also sit on strategic boards and are the parents voice in BwD.
