Kooth

Kooth is an online wellbeing service that offers free, safe and anonymous support and is available to all young people across the North West aged 10-18 (care leavers and SEND up to 25)] in Blackburn & Darwen. 

Young people using the site are able to access a range of support services including one-to-one counselling sessions, discussing issues with their peers through online discussion boards, reading and contributing to self-help content and recording their feelings via journals and goal trackers. The online nature of Kooth means that young people can access help in a way that is most suitable for them, at a time that is convenient for them, 365 days of the year.

What support is available?

The service is free, safe anonymous and allows instant access to the platform where you can find:

  • Live chat support from mental health professionals 
  • Moderated community support
  • Self help tools and resources

There is no need for a GP referral as you can self refer at any time. Signing up only takes a few minutes.
